As the game industry shifts toward more direct and decentralized models of commerce, Xsolla is widening its platform support to meet developers where they are and where they’re headed. Our latest expansion introduces new tools and partnerships designed to make cross-platform monetization faster, simpler, and more flexible. The update includes SDKs for popular Windows stores and Epic Games Store, a strategic integration with Pley that simplifies mobile-to-web porting, and a powerful Discord bot that turns conversations with players into sales. Together, these tools give studios of all sizes a better way to manage direct-to-consumer (D2C) monetization across PC, web, mobile, and social channels.
Monetization for Windows stores
With the SDK for Windows, developers can sync SKUs across multiple storefronts on the Windows platform. The integration offers seamless checkout flows, along with built-in access to Xsolla Pay Station and Login. Developers can also link to Web Shop and Buy Button tools for a more flexible approach to commerce.
Epic Games Store gets D2C power
The SDK for the Epic Games Store brings D2C support to one of the fastest-growing marketplaces in PC gaming. It includes dual billing support for mobile titles, synchronized inventory, and localized checkout flows. We built in recurring billing, subscriptions, and web shop support to give developers more tools that drive lifetime value without additional complexity.
Discord for commerce
Xsolla’s new Discord Bot adds a layer of commerce directly inside the world’s largest community platform for gamers. Developers can now display and purchase promotions, bundles, or digital goods in real-time messages or server channels, with a link out to an external seamless checkout, directly from Discord. By plugging commerce into the servers players use every day, developers can reduce the time from considering a purchase to checkout—it’s social commerce redefined for game communities.
Bringing mobile games to the web with Pley
Through our partnership with Pley, Unity developers can now bring their mobile games to web browsers with minimal effort. Pley handles the cloud-based solution and porting, while Xsolla handles global payments. The result is a fast way to launch a cross-platform D2C strategy and reach players outside the app stores, with no need to rebuild the game from scratch.Chris Hewish, President and Chief Communications Officer at Xsolla, summed it up:“The future of game commerce is direct, cross-platform, and player-centric. Our goal is to give developers the freedom to monetize on their terms across any platform, any channel, anywhere in the world.”
D2C is the way forward
This platform expansion is more than a toolkit update; it’s a signal that D2C is way bigger than just a mobile story. Whether you’re shipping a PC title, building on mobile, or experimenting with browser-based distribution, the new options make it easier to own your player relationships and your revenue.Explore the full update and tools at Xsolla Release Notes.Want to discuss your unique business needs and current project?
