The Xsolla team once again participated in Games for Change’s 2024 Games and SDG Summit. The annual event connects compassionate game industry leaders with social impact organizations in a global effort to build solutions for social good and sustainable development.
SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS
Games for Change’s initiatives inspire the global gaming community to adopt and apply emerging technologies that propel communication and collaboration. As a follow-up to last year’s event, 2024’s cadre of invited gaming professionals focused on actionable efforts to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) across the games and immersive sectors. This year, Xsolla President David Steltzer spoke with the audience about how and why Xsolla is committed to creating equal access for everyone.EQUAL ACCESS FOR EVERYONE
The gaming industry can be challenging to break into, especially for those without formal training or resources. Xsolla is working to provide educational programs that teach essential skills and knowledge. Our goal is to create a more inclusive industry where talent and passion are the only requirements for success. David explained that “Xsolla is dedicated to empowering the next generation of game developers. We're committed to breaking down barriers to entry and creating equal opportunities for everyone, regardless of their background or experience. Through mentorship and guidance, we're empowering tomorrow's talent to create innovative games that not only entertain but also have a positive impact on society.” Xsolla’s programs for social change include:- Xsolla Game Academy offers practical resources for game development education, incubation, and elevation.
- Xsolla Curine Academy has industry-relevant game development training programs to create professionals at every experience level.
- Xsolla Funding Club is a no-cost curated matchmaking platform establishing connections between developers, investors and publishers.
- Xsolla Accelerator provides developers with practical educational materials tailored to their specific needs at every stage of game development.
