How Mytona reached new players and grew web shop revenue with Xsolla

Mobile game developer and publisher Mytona has spent years building two of the most distinctive titles in their genres. Seekers Notes, a hidden object mystery game, and Cooking Diary, a fast-paced restaurant management title, have built loyal communities through their unmistakable art style and steady stream of seasonal content. But like a lot of mobile studios, Mytona ran into two challenges that the app stores alone couldn't solve. The team needed a way to deliver a consistent player experience across diverse markets, while standard platform fees of 15 to 30% on every transaction were chipping away at the revenue margins they needed to keep investing in their games. That's where Xsolla came in. Working closely with the Mytona team, we launched dedicated web shops for both Seekers Notes and Cooking Diary, built around the games' existing art direction and player experience. Alongside the storefronts, we put a layer of monetization and engagement tools to work, from regional pricing and welcome offers to web-exclusive bundles, daily gifts, and a loyalty store designed to reward repeat purchasers. The results have spoken for themselves. Seekers Notes saw its capture rate grow roughly tenfold, while Cooking Diary's average revenue per paying user jumped by 51%. Together, the two games are now reaching players across dozens of new markets, with Seekers Notes live in 41 countries and Cooking Diary running high-activity sales in 22 markets that were previously out of reach. For us, partnerships like this are why direct-to-consumer matters. Not as a way to replace the app stores, but as a way for studios like Mytona to reach players the platforms can't, grow margins they couldn't otherwise, and stay in control of the experience their communities recognize. We're proud to have supported Mytona on this part of their journey, and we're looking forward to what they build next.Read the full Mytona partner spotlight to see how Seekers Notes and Cooking Diary grew their web shop revenue with Xsolla.
