On May 14, 2026, Xsolla brought together more than 100 senior gaming professionals for Xsolla Connect Ho Chi Minh City, an executive networking event held alongside Vietnam GameVerse 2026 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center. The evening served as a focal point for deal-making, partnership discussions, and strategic conversations shaping the future of gaming across Southeast Asia. Berkley Egenes, Chief Marketing & Growth Officer at Xsolla, set the tone for the evening. "Vietnam GameVerse 2026 made one thing unmistakably clear: the energy, the talent, and the commercial ambition here are world-class," he said. "Xsolla Connect was designed to turn that energy into lasting business relationships." The event also welcomed remarks from Mr. Lê Quang Tự Do, Director of ABEI under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, who attended in person after a full day of official obligations at GameVerse. He reflected on the growing stature of Xsolla Connect and expressed hope that Xsolla and its partners would return for GameVerse 2027. A Strategic Bet on Vietnam Beyond the networking event itself, Xsolla used the occasion to signal a deeper commitment to the Vietnamese market. The company announced it had agreed to acquire a stake in Wetaps Corporation, a Ho Chi Minh City-based publisher holding local licenses for video game operations in Vietnam. The prospective partnership was designed to create a compliant, end-to-end pathway for international developers entering Vietnam, while giving local studios the infrastructure to reach global audiences. On the Show Floor Throughout the two-day run of Vietnam GameVerse 2026, Xsolla's teams engaged with developers and publishers across the event's 40,000-square-meter indoor exhibition space. The company showcased its Xsolla Web Shop, a direct-to-consumer storefront that supports 1,000+ payment methods across 200+ countries, alongside LiveOps Management tools that enable studios to run targeted campaigns without platform dependency. Do Local, Go Global Vietnam GameVerse 2026, held under that very theme, attracted up to 60,000 attendees and featured the inaugural Southeast Asia Esports Cup, the Vietnam Game Awards, and the GameHub startup competition. For Xsolla, the event underscored a clear conviction: Vietnam is not an emerging market on the horizon, it is already a competitive and strategically vital part of the global games industry.
