Xsolla and IT Park Uzbekistan unlock a new level in game development

At Xsolla, we’re always looking for ways to push the boundaries of what’s possible—not just in games but in the ecosystems that support them. Our latest partnership with IT Park Uzbekistan, in the form of a mutually signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), represents a significant leap forward in this mission.
Together, we will create an opportunity for Uzbekistan to make a meaningful impact in the global gaming industry while continuing our broader commitment to advancing technological progress throughout the region. This collaboration is not just a formal agreement; it’s a strategic move aimed at unlocking the potential for game development across Central Asia.
Why this partnership matters
Uzbekistan has quietly emerged as a regional tech hub in recent years. With increasing investments in the IT sector, the country is ready for a future driven by digital innovation. While tech development occurs across various industries, the gaming sector has immense growth potential. That’s where Xsolla and IT Park Uzbekistan come in. This MOU marks the start of a movement. Central to this effort is the launch of the Xsolla IT Park Game Development Academy, which will open in 2025. The academy will train and nurture local talent, providing students with the skills and tools they need to become game developers, artists, and engineers and contribute to Uzbekistan’s growth in the gaming sector.Building the future: The Xsolla IT Park Game Development Academy
Our vision goes beyond simply teaching game development skills. We're building a comprehensive learning environment to foster entrepreneurship and innovation, an incubator where the next generation of game developers can bring their creative ideas to life. The academy will offer programs covering everything from game design and programming to CG art, animation, and project management. Our goal is to support the creation of thousands of new jobs in Uzbekistan’s gaming sector by 2030. These roles will span development, design, marketing, and business, helping shape the gaming industry's future in the region. This growth will extend into related sectors such as digital marketing, e-commerce, and media production. We’re also setting up an Accelerator Program to help early-stage startups scale their businesses. By providing access to resources, mentorship, and industry connections, we aim to create a self-sustaining ecosystem contributing to Uzbekistan's economy and the global gaming market, where innovation thrives and new game studios can emerge.Long-term impact
This partnership with IT Park Uzbekistan will be a key driver in helping local emerging studios expand beyond their borders and tap into new markets. Xsolla's suite of monetization, marketing, and distribution tools and services allows game developers of all sizes to access global audiences. That makes us uniquely positioned to support local studios as they collaborate with international developers. Beyond the academy, we’re exploring more ways to further champion local game development.
