Xsolla Web Shop empowers developers to expand reach, boost player loyalty, and maximize profit potential by moving game-related purchases to the web. A web store offers ways to help game creators achieve a new level of connection with players and make operations and marketing much more convenient.  

Thanks to our latest updates,  you can take customization even further and tailor your shop to your players’ specific needs.

Number-Limited Offers

This feature lets you limit the number of consumable items available to users. After setup, a counter will appear on the site showing the number of items available for purchase. With Number-Limited Offers, you can encourage users to make a first-time — or repeat — purchase on the web. Refresh Limits

The function allows you to define the number of available virtual items according to a specific schedule ⏤ i.e., daily, weekly, or monthly⏤ and update as needed. For example, you can offer a free product that the user can receive once a day.

Refresh Limits allow you to

  • Periodically restrict the purchase of goods or the use of a promotion.
  • Synchronize data with your system if goods sell on several game publishing platforms.
  • Manage player retention through daily/weekly web shop gifts.

The Bonus Promotions feature is a marketing tool that helps increase sales through value-added offers to users when they purchase goods. A user can receive several bonuses when they make a purchase. You can include the same catalog item in several bonus promotions.

We recently reworked this section’s design to emphasize bonuses with a clearly desirable value.

Featured Offers

Featured Offers allows players to see featured products in a fun, slider format, perfect for showcasing limited and unique offers.

Free Items

You can now offer free items to authorized users whether or not they spend virtual or real currency. . Free items are a web shop exclusive feature that clearly communicates added value. The purchase flow magnifies a player's trust because they clearly see items being added to their inventory.  Free items can include:

  • Virtual items
  • Bundles
  • Virtual currency packages

Here are a few examples of usage:

  • Give away free items on important dates for your project ⏤for example, on the game’s launch anniversary or the day the project was founded ⏤ to reward users for their loyalty.
  • Attract new users to the web with a free web-exclusive pack.
  • Limit the free giveaway of unique items to only users that do not already have them.
  • Daily, weekly, and monthly gifts.

Loyalty Program

We designed the Loyalty Program feature to give you the ability to incentivize users to spend real currency in the in-game store without reducing the cost of currency and items.

With each web shop purchase, the user receives currency they may spend on web-exclusive offers and items. The more purchases players make, the more web shop currency they get — ultimately increasing the shop’s “stickiness” and boosting return visits and repeat purchases.

You can set up virtual currency in the following ways:

  • Via bonus promotions
  • Via bundles

Currently in beta testing, the Reward System is a new feature that enables the award of special reward points for purchases made in the store. 

With accumulated points, users can receive rewards for completing steps in a chain of required actions. The mechanics of how this feature works is a bit similar to the battle pass in games.

  • 1-Reward chain customization on the IGS side (available via the development team).
  • 2-Reward chain block settings in Site Builder.

Progressive Web Application (PWA)

This feature is still in the pilot stage of development. The PWA is the most direct — and legally compliant — way to drive players to the web shop with a single click via a shortcut that users can add to their mobile phone’s home screen.
