As a producer for the indie studio Flippfly, Dachowski is no stranger to the pure joy that video games bring to the masses across the globe. As a recent recipient of the Game Awards Future Class of 2023 and a Women in Games Ambassador, Dachowski has spent her time in the industry as a powerful force, championing diverse games for players with a focus on developer health and sustainability. In the Summer 2024 edition of The Xsolla Report, we had the pleasure of chatting with Dachowski.Dachowski opens up in our conversation about how her company continues to build games and create a work environment that aims to address more significant issues of diversity in the gaming industry, all from their midwestern base. As our report highlights, gaming companies need help to capitalize on engaging their female fan base. Despite over 30% of all gamers in the US being women between the ages of 18-35, the industry has yet to recognize and capitalize on the best way to motivate these players.
