The video game industry has no shortage of stories about growth, innovation, and commercial success. But some of its most important stories are about the people using games to create positive change. That’s the focus of a new multi-year strategic partnership between Xsolla and Good Game Club, the global podcast dedicated to exploring the positive side of gaming. Hosted by Jude Ower MBE, Chief Strategy Officer at PlanetPlay, and Mathias Gredal Nørvig, Chief Executive Officer at SYBO, Good Game Club brings together developers, creators, and industry leaders to explore how video games can benefit players, communities, and the wider world. Xsolla’s partnership will help take those conversations further, bringing more developers and positive stories from markets around the world into the spotlight.

Giving more developers a platform

The partnership will include recurring editorial segments and deep-dive episodes featuring studios across the video game industry, from emerging teams and independent developers to mid-tier and established studios. That breadth is important. Positive innovation isn’t limited to the industry’s biggest companies. Smaller studios are experimenting with new ideas, building communities, and finding ways to make video games more accessible and impactful. By drawing on Xsolla’s global network, Good Game Club will be able to discover and share more of those stories.

Taking Good Game Club on the road

The collaboration will extend across the global games calendar, with joint podcast recordings planned at some of the industry’s biggest events. Xsolla and Good Game Club will record together at gamescom in Cologne, Germany, and the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, while additional episodes will come from locations including Dubai, Berlin, and Baku. The goal is simple: go where the developers are. Recording on location gives the podcast an opportunity to highlight creators and studios in their own markets, bringing perspectives from regions that don’t always receive the same attention as the industry’s traditional hubs.

The human side of the video games business

For Xsolla, the partnership builds on its broader commitment to supporting developers, publishers, and creators around the world. xsolla-blog-french-game-camp-featured-image-02-2112x1146.webp "Good Game Club is telling the stories our collective industry needs more of, stories about games doing right by players and developers building all the things that matter," said Berkley Egenes, Chief Marketing and Growth Officer at Xsolla. "Partnering with Jude and Mathias lets us put our global network behind this mission, and gives developers of every size another stage to share what they are building and why it matters.“ For Good Game Club, the partnership provides an opportunity to expand its reach and uncover positive stories from more emerging developers and markets. xsolla-blog-good-game-club-featured-image-02-2112x1146.webp “We are excited to partner with Xsolla, which will enable us to cover even more positive stories from emerging developers and markets globally,” said Jude Ower, co-founder and host of the Good Game Club. “Xsolla is providing a crucial infrastructure to support developers of all shapes and sizes - by working together and drawing on Xsolla’s network, we can highlight the people doing great things within the games industry all over the world.”

Spotlighting gaming’s potential

Video games are already one of the world’s most influential cultural forces. Its potential extends beyond entertainment, including building communities, creating opportunities, and supporting social and environmental initiatives. Good Game Club’s mission is to explore that potential. With Xsolla’s global reach, the podcast can bring even more of these stories to developers and industry audiences. xsolla-blog-good-game-club-featured-image-03-2112x1146.webp “Good Game Club is truly global. Covering all regions of the world and all types of games doing good, we are happy to expand our network and benefit from Xsolla’s strengths and reach,” said Mathias Gredal Nørvig, co-founder and host of the Good Game Club. “We can’t wait to tell all the stories ahead of us and inspire more developers to go the extra mile. Games carry the potential to transform the world into a better place for all.” New episodes and partnership content will begin rolling out in 2026, with Good Game Club available across major podcast platforms.
