Xsolla and Savvy Games Group partnership aims to bolster Middle East gaming industry

Saudi Arabia's gaming industry is on the rise. Xsolla and Savvy Games Group, the Kingdom’s National Champion for Games and Esports, have decided to combine resources and expertise to advance Saudi Arabia's vision of becoming a global gaming and esports hub by 2030.
“We are excited to collaborate with Savvy Games Group on this groundbreaking initiative,” said Chris Hewish, Chief Strategy Officer at Xsolla. “Our shared vision for the future of video games aligns perfectly, and together, we aim to empower developers, foster creativity, and support the next generation of talent in Saudi Arabia.”
This partnership represents a significant step forward not only in the Kingdom’s gaming industry but also in the gaming landscape in the Middle East as a whole, with a focus on these key initiatives at the start:
- Talent development. One of the major highlights of this collaboration is the establishment of the Xsolla Academy, Incubator, and Accelerator programs in the Kingdom to support local and international game development studios. These programs will be crucial in nurturing gaming talent and promoting game development as a viable career path in Saudi Arabia.
- Regional headquarters. Xsolla will open a new office in Riyadh to strengthen our presence in the region further. That will allow us to better serve developers and publishers in the Middle East and Saudi Arabia and support their growth.
- Job creation. Xsolla and Savvy plan to create 3,600 new gaming industry jobs by 2030. These new positions, backed by Xsolla training and support, will help boost the Kingdom’s economy and provide ample opportunities for individuals passionate about gaming.
- Industry events. Xsolla and Savvy Games Group will also team up to host industry-leading events, supporting local game developers and helping them connect with publishers and investors worldwide.
