Five new PC game store features are landing on Publishing Suite ahead of gamescom 2026

Attention is the hardest thing to hold onto in gaming right now. Ahead of gamescom 2026, Publishing Suite is shipping five new features for PC game stores built around a simple idea: a storefront should give players a reason to come back before the next patch or sale, not just when those drop. You can see the full rundown on our latest Release Notes. Here’s a quick look into what's new.

Community Hub: give players a reason to come back between sessions

Community Hub is a ready-to-launch community page for your PC game store or a standalone site. Players share screenshots, artwork, and clips, complete a preconfigured set of engagement quests, and earn Loyalty Points they spend right back in your store. Referral tools turn engaged players into new ones. It's a closed loop: community engagement feeds your store, and your store feeds the community. Plus it's first-party data that belongs to your studio, not a platform you're renting attention from. Moderation runs through the Publisher Account you already use, so there's no new tool to learn. xsolla-blog-rw-pc-storefront-featured-image-01-2112x1146.webp

LiveOps event template for holiday and seasonal offers

The LiveOps event template is a no-code landing page template ready to implement in your PC game store, purpose-built for time-limited campaigns: flash sales, season passes, and limited-time events. Partners get a hero block to lead with, a live countdown timer to build urgency, grouped SKU display to showcase bundles, and a built-in cart, all in a responsive, mobile-first layout. Studios can go from concept to a live promo page in under a day. xsolla-blog-rw-pc-storefront-featured-image-02-2112x1146.webp

Cosmetic items block: merchandising built for skins and outfits

Cosmetic items, character outfits, weapon skins, and UI customizations are some of the biggest revenue drivers in live-service titles, but most storefront blocks weren't built to show them off. The new cosmetic items block gives partners a dedicated storefront block with animation, video previews, and custom labels (like NEW or HOT) to showcase cosmetics the way players actually browse them. xsolla-blog-rw-pc-storefront-featured-image-05-2112x1146.webp

Video as illustrations: motion across your storefront

Static screenshots are giving way to motion. Video as illustrations brings native video and animation to standard Site Builder blocks, no custom code required: background video in headers and sliders, hover-triggered animated illustrations, and video previews on product cards. Everything autoplays muted and looped, with an automatic fallback image, so pages stay fast even with video in the mix. xsolla-blog-rw-oc-storefront-featured-image-04-2112x1146.webp

Notification system in Launcher: reach players without a new channel

The new Xsolla Launcher notification system lets you send promotional and informational messages, sales, discounts, event reminders, and patch notes directly through the Launcher interface. For a PC game store, that closes the off-platform communication loop without relying on Discord, Steam news, or other third-party messaging tools. xsolla-blog-rw-pc-storefront-featured-image-03-2112x1146.webp

Why this release week is really about the space between sessions

None of these five features exist in isolation. A community page, a countdown timer, a richer cosmetics block, video where screenshots remained still, a notification that reaches a player who isn't in the middle of a game session: all of it is aimed at the same gap. The sale is only one moment. What a studio does in the time around it, on its own channel, with its own players, is what a direct channel is actually for.
