Xsolla has launched the Xsolla Developer Scholarship Program - Cologne 2026, an initiative created to help independent and mid-tier game developers attend gamescom 2026 in Cologne, Germany - one of the most influential events in the global games industry. Financial barriers shouldn't stand between talented developers and the connections that can change their careers. This program is designed to make sure they don't.
What's on Offer
Selected scholarship recipients will receive a fully supported gamescom experience, including a 3-day Business Pass, four nights of hotel accommodation in Cologne during gamescom week, and access to exclusive Xsolla-hosted networking events and meetups. Recipients will also receive introductions to Xsolla's Funding, Marketing, Integration, and Customer Success teams, plus exclusive Xsolla swag and event materials.
Who Can Apply
The program is open to developers worldwide who are at least 18 years old and able to attend gamescom in person. Applicants must be able to meet all travel and legal requirements to enter Germany during the event period. Applicants who already hold a valid visa for Germany, or who are exempt from visa requirements, are especially encouraged to apply.
Eligible projects must be unreleased titles currently in development. Applicants will need to submit a playable game prototype, gameplay footage showing real in-engine gameplay, and an overview of their studio, team, target platforms, product vision, and goals for attending gamescom.
How Winners Are Selected
Applications will be reviewed by a committee of industry professionals through a merit-based evaluation process. Scholarships will be awarded to 20 chosen applicants based on project quality, development progress, business potential, and overall readiness to benefit from the gamescom experience.
