July 16, 2005. Alexander Agapitov registers the domain "2pay". The date is now considered Xsolla's birthday.

2007

5 people company

Perm company 2pay grows to 5 staff members

First office in Perm

Perm, Sergeya Danschina st. 5 — the address of the fist 2pay office.

PayStation release

2pay presents its first product, "PayStation", 
a payment system

2009

Office in Los Angeles

2pay, a Russian company goes international and opens a new office in Los Angeles, which later will become Xsolla HQ.

2010

2pay becomes Xsolla

The company is rebranded. "2pay" no longer reflects the range of solutions the company offers to its partners and clients. New name of the company — Xsolla.

2011

Engaging with large companies: Valve and KAMAGAMES

Xsolla engages large-scale clients: social casino publisher KAMAGAMES and Valve Corporation, the owner of popular game distribution service Steam.

2012

Moving to the new Perm office

Xsolla moves to a new office building in Komsomolsky Prospect 1. Later on Xsolla will be named "one of the most desirable Perm companies to work in" and the new modern office is referred to— "the office of your dreams".

2013

Company grows to 100 staff members

The number of employees is in the triple digits

2014

PayStation3 release

The first company product gets an upgrade. PayStation3 is now available to Xsolla partners and clients.

Partner with Twitch

Xsolla partners with Twitch helping the streaming service to receive payments from new regions.

2015

Office in Seoul

Xsolla opens new office in Seoul, South Korea, entering the Asian video game market.

Engaging with big companies: Ubisoft, Battlestate Games and Hi-Rez

Xsolla partners with Battlestate Games, Hi-Rez studios and signs an agreement with a true giant of gaming industry, Ubisoft.

2016

The first industry summer school for Programmers

Perm office holds the first industry summer school for Programmers. Prize-winners are offered Xsolla internships.

A new space called Cherdak Xsolla opens in Perm office

A new space called Cherdak Xsolla opens in Perm office. It's a place for informal meetings, or networking events from representatives of Perm IT industry.

Partner with Epic Games

Xsolla partners with Epic Games — game industry veterans, who will soon release Fortnite and Epic Games Store.

Engaging with Paradox Interactive & Roblox

Xsolla signs an agreement with Swedish company Paradox Interactive  — creators of popular game series «Magicka» and «Crusader Kings», and Roblox Corporation — creators of Roblox, one of the most popular online platforms of the decade.

Xsolla announces new strategy. It is the only business engine in the industry, that provides its clients with tools and services needed for selling and maintaining games.

Engaging Wizards of the Coast and Take-Two Interactive

Xsolla signs an agreement with the publishers of the boardgame "Wizards of the Coast" and with an industry giant — Take-Two Interactive, which founded Rockstar Games and publisher 2K.

400 staff members

Xsolla now has over 400 employees.
