Director of Business Development

JOB PURPOSE

Primary function of this position is to source and close new partners (video game clients and strategic partners) and sales in the business development. This is a strategic role that influences the organization at a global level.

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as a key member of the Global Business Development team focused on helping to drive overall market and technical strategy for Xsolla.
  • Set a strategic business development plan for target markets and ensure it is in line with Xsolla’s strategic direction.
  • Execute the strategic business development plan while working with key internal stakeholders, increasing Xsolla’s presence in target markets.
  • Open up new lines of business by discovering non-standard partnership opportunities and proposing strategically beneficial terms.
  • Negotiate highly technical product integration agreements, working alongside product leaders.
  • Identify specific prospects/partners to approach while communicating the specific value proposition for their business and use case.
  • Fill the business development pipeline by engaging with prospects, partners, and key customers.
  • Advocate your ideas in a variety of environments while promoting your team members.
  • Provides team with feedback, coaching, and development opportunities to help support the team member’s experience as well as to provide a foundation for professional growth.
  • Serves as a conduit of information from corporate to the field.
  • Demonstrate everyday leadership by sharing accomplishments as a team, and inspiring those around you to strive for the best.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Required:
  • 7+ years of business development experience with proven, demonstrable results.
  • 5+ years selling and or marketing technology solutions
  • Passion for games
  • Ability to travel up to 30%
Preferred:
  • MBA/BS/BA degree or equivalent relevant business experience.
  • Prior business development experience in the gaming industry
  • Experience with an entrepreneurial organization.
